Daily Connection
After the kids left for school, he came into my office, where I was sitting on my meditation pillow, and sat down beside me.
I turned my body to face his, our knees touching, breath syncing, and our gaze falling into each other’s souls.
Feeling each other deeply, we began to soften and apologize for our part in some tension that had been brewing.
Then the tears came.
Then we prayed and blessed eachother.
I crawled up in his lap and he held me there until he had to leave.
That simple action that took no more than 15 minutes broke down the resistance and blew our hearts open again.
And we both served today from our fullness.
If left unattended the little invisible barriers will turn into very visible walls.
This is why connecting intentionally daily is vital. (With your spouse and your kids)
In every moment we either contracting or expanding.
Opening or closing.
Becoming closer or drifting apart.
Everyday we get an opportunity to choose to grow in love.
