Transparency in parenting
We have never lied to our kids.
We decided early on to be open and upfront with them about everything.
Our pasts, our stories, our decisions.
We've answered all their questions transparently.
And we have had age-appropriate conversations with them on every topic under the sun.
We have chosen to equip them with wisdom and how to access their own inner discernment, as well as also to learn from our experiences.
We have intended to be the safest space for them to feel, share and process anything.
We are navigating new territory with teens, high school, and all the things that come with it.
And although this was the most challenging time in my life, I am choosing to approach it very differently.
And it’s quickly becoming my favorite season in parenting yet.
Our wounds are a window for where the light is meant to come in.
We heal generational patterns by rewriting a different story.
