Love Looks Like Something
Love looks like something.
He doesn’t drink coffee much anymore but he still gets up before me and pours me the perfect shot.
He helps with breakfast and getting the kids out the door in the morning.
He checks in on me during the day if we are apart.
He comes in after work and helps with getting the kids to and from sports with their homework and with dishes after dinner.
Then he takes a bath with me almost every night.
He oils me down after and gives me the most intoxicating massage.
If I’m tired he snuggles me kisses me good night.
If Im revved up he’s gives me ecstasy for hours.
And it goes both ways.
We love blessing each other.
Even when we are both working and busy and running in different directions, we make the time.
We show up.
Every season it looks a little different but in every season we lean into to daily rituals that nourish our connection.
It’s in the little things you do everyday, that build a reservoir of love and depth between you.
