Overflow

Overflow cannot happen unless we take the time to nurture ourselves each day.

Only when we fill our own cup first will have extra to pour out to the ones we love and serve.

My daily practice looks like this.

What do I need to nurture my body soul and spirit today?

I listen.

I trust whatever I hear or feel.

And I follow it.

Once I’m full, I now want to ask.

What does Bobby need today?

What does Lily need?

Dakota?

Luke?

I listen and I follow accordingly.

Often I ask them too.

Often they tell me first thing.

Often they ask me the same.

This practice allows us to stay engaged with each other’s hearts.

It keeps the love and intentionality growing in us, which naturally makes us want to give more away.
